We would first like to inform you about the two versions of KSM-66 Ashwagandha. These are the full spectrum (milk treated) version and the vegan version. The difference between the two versions are as follows:

A. The full spectrum version’s extraction process entails pre-treating the Ashwagandha roots with small quantities of cow milk (of course BSE-TSE free) in accordance with the traditional Ayurveda practice. For this reason, this variant contains remnants of milk constituents. This pre-treatment is important because this is in fact what leads to retention of both hydrophilic components and lipophilic components of the raw Ashwagandha root. This, in turn, leads to a full-spectrum extract which maintains the large suite of bio-actives found in the raw root.

B. The vegan version of KSM-66 does not use milk in the extraction process.

Both versions have the same percentage of bioactive withanolides i.e. >5% by HPLC.
